About 40 years ago, we wanted to take up a sport that we could enjoy together. We decided on golf, and as we already had friends there, joined Blackwood Golf Club. What a good decision! We have really enjoyed the sport, the wonderful environment and course, as well as making life long friends. Annual club visits to Loxton and Millicent Golf Clubs, as well as BGC caravan group trips, are always fun. We play on country courses during the day and play at the caravan park at night! So, Blackwood offers you many activities that will enhance your lifestyle – you will be so pleased you joined us. Do it!

Both my wife Val and I have enjoyed many years of playing at Blackwood Golf Club. Friendly people, great golf course and a lovely hills setting go to make this club something special. The people are so friendly in fact, that marriages are not uncommon between players. Val and I have been happily married now for 5 years (both having been members for 20 years) and it all began on this wonderful golf course.

I became a member of The Blackwood Golf club a couple of months ago, I have met many lovely people and I have been made to feel very welcome.  The course is beautiful and the resident kangaroos are a delight to see.  The team at the Pro shop and the staff that I have met have all been encouraging and helpful.  Many thanks to the ladies who have welcomed me to play golf with them.

After the close of Belair Park Golf Course in January 2018 over thirty Belair members moved to Blackwood Golf Club. The membership and competition options have well suited the different ages of ex Belair members. I have enjoyed the challenging well maintained course at Blackwood and been impressed with the welcoming attitude of the Committee and the Pro shop staff. I recommend Blackwood as a very enjoyable place to play golf.

Leave your work at the Office and take the 15 minute drive up the hill to the beautiful Blackwood Golf Club. A great layout and exceptionally presented. The camaradarie and friendly Members make the Club a place not only to enjoy a game but spend quality social time – there is nothing better than enjoying a beer with your mates on the balcony looking down the 18th fairway. I can sincerely recommend becoming a Member of the Blackwood Golf Club.

Blackwood takes friendliness and inclusivity to a whole new level. The welcome was warm and genuine and I felt at home from the get-go. There are so many opportunities to get involved and have fun. I’m so happy with my decision to join.
