Matthew Dent History
Matthew Dent has been a PGA Member since 1986 after finishing his traineeship under Tony Giles at Mt Osmond Golf Course. After years of playing events he secured his first Head Professional position at Mt Lofty Golf Club in 1993, where he stayed for close to 10 years before moving to Blackwood Golf Club where he is currently in his 10th year.
Matthew has also been involved for 17 years as a Committee member of the South Australian PGA Committee, having spent the last 4 years as the South Australian Chairman and a member of the Australian PGA national vocation board. He is also currently on the board of On Course Golf. "One of my proudest achievements in the golf industry is raising over $100,000 for CANTEEN (a charitable organisation supporting young people living with cancer) by running my bi-annual charity golf days. This has been most rewarding and I encourage others to do the same for their favourite charities."
Blackwood Pro Shop
Blackwood Pro Shop carries a wide range of equipment and accessories and is proud to cater for all golfing levels and ages. One of our focuses in on coaching. We can offer private one on one coaching with video analysis, group clinics and playing lessons with Matt being an 'AAA rated Golf Coach' with the PGA of Australia and Chris Duke currently completing the 3rd and final year of his traineeship.
Our passion at Blackwood is club fitting. With our state of the art Foresight Launch Monitor, we can fit you for a custom set and can take the guess work out of buying clubs for you, and the best part is it is all included in the price of the clubs!
