Junior Vardon Event

18 Hole Stroke Event

Monday, 13th April 2020 (Easter Monday), Shotgun start at 12:30pm


  1. All events are open to amateur players of Golf Australia Affiliated Clubs with a maximum GA handicap of 7.4, (Women 14.0 or less) (Junior Vardon – 10.0 or less who are under 18 years of age as at 22/4/2019). The Match Committee reserves the right to ballot the Championship event should it be necessary and exclude any player from the competition.
  2. The Match Committee reserves the right to include Senior Members of the Blackwood Golf Club who have an Australian Handicap in excess of 7.4 but less than 10, or in excess of 10.0 for a Blackwood Golf Club Junior.
  3. Entrants in the Junior Vardon event are not eligible to win the Vardon event and vice versa.

A junior is less than 18 years of age on the day of play.

  • The entrance fee is $35.00 to be submitted by 5:00pm on Wednesday, 8th April 2020.  The entry fee will include a baguette available to all players prior to hit off.
  • Presentations to winners and place getters will be in the upstairs bar at approximately 5:30pm. Prizes will be awarded for 1st to 3rd place for men’s gross scores. 1st place and runner up for women’s and junior gross scores. Best male and best women’s nett score.
  • The event will be conducted and controlled by the Blackwood Golf Club Match Committee.  In the case of a protest, such protest must be lodged with the Club Captain within 10 minutes of the completion of play. 
  • In the event of a tie, a sudden death playoff will determine the winner by playing holes 1, 8 and 9. 
  • The draw will be available from the office (8388 2313) and the Blackwood Golf Club website from Thursday, 9th April 2020, and will be distributed to all clubs with participants.  It will also be posted on the Golf Australia website.
  • The use of a ride on motorised buggy by competitor/caddy is prohibited unless a medical certificate allowing cart use is lodged with Golf Australia and evidence provided to the Blackwood Golf Club Match Committee at registration on the day.
  • Competitors must start at the appointed time.  Penalties may apply for breaches.
  • Golf Australia conditions in relation to Drug Testing and Code of Conduct apply.
  • Competitors, Caddies and Supporters must observe club dress rules (denim jeans are not permitted).
